IMPORTANT UPDATE: We had an opportunity that was just too good to pass up: the opportunity to merge our party with Josh McAfee's! Josh McAfee is a great host and has a wonderful home for parties that is no more than 5 minutes from my (Josh Adams's) house and so it's a no-brainer: the reason I've always done the NYE parties here is because I wanted to provide an environment where hanging out and talking to friends new and old, not alcohol, is the focus and as that is exactly what Josh's party is all about, working together to make a bigger and better party for all is the way to go! More space, more people, and more fun! We hope you'll be just as excited to join us there as you were to join us at my house. The sixth annual New Year's Eve Party! This is a fun event that just continues to get better: as with last year, we'll have board games, Wii (we're hoping to work that in at Josh McAfee's), hanging out, and lots of fun--and at midnight, we'll watch the ball drop on TV and then we'll head outside for fireworks. And returning this year after its triumphant debut last year: professional-quality chocolate fondue for our chocolate fondue fountains! Come join us anytime: feel free to stop by for a little while at any point or to stay the entire night! Please RSVP below, whether you can make it or not. We hope to see you!

NYE Party info:

Invite friends! Everyone is invited whether they know us or not--your friends are our friends! You can send this email to others if you'd like. Please don't assume that we already emailed everyone whom you and we both know--every year we inadvertently leave off people whom we certainly would love to have in attendance. So please, spread the word!
Come any time! We always go until at least 1:00 AM or so; some years we go much later, some years we don't. If you want to come after midnight, call us to find out how things are looking.
Come hang out! This is a "go with the flow" event. It is not intended to be a big blowout but rather a time to hang out, play games, and talk: it's a time to ring in the new year with friends. We hope to have both Wii and the Chick-fil-a going. We will definitely have on hand some fun party games, but would love you to bring your favorite Wii games and board games with you.
BYO stuff. We will provide some party snacks and drinks--highlighted by the chocolate and the white chocolate fountains--but please bring some food and/or drink with you to share if possible. If there's interest in ordering pizza, we can do that; if you want in on that, bring a few $$$ with you and come as early as possible because if we order pizza, we'll be doing so fairly early on.
If you drink alcohol, please do so only in moderation. While we think that's good general advice, we're specifically applying it to this party. If you anticipate you are likely to overimbibe, please do not come. If you have friends whom you believe are likely to overimbibe, please do not invite them. That all said, if you do come and you do drink too much, don't compound it by driving: let us know if you need a ride or a place to crash--we'll get ya hooked up. Josh McAfee will be providing some alcohol and you are also invited to bring your own with you.
Be considerate in parking. Josh McAfee will have laid out cones to indicate where to not park; apart from that, there is plenty of parking so just be considerate in parking so you don't block driveways and other cars.
